.com domain. Please read carefully before purchasing, downloading, linking to, or printing copies for use.

All copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property rights in this site, are the property of Greg Shaw Photography.

No permission, either express or implied, is granted for the electronic transmission, storage, retrieval, or printing of the photographs contained on gregshawphotography.com, other than that which is related to the normal “caching” practices of web browsers and activities such as downloading solely for your personal enjoyment. No parties/individuals visiting or viewing images from gregshawphotography.com may otherwise copy, modify, publish, transmit, or distribute the contents of the photographs found herein. Express written permission must be granted, on behalf of the photographer in order to use these photographs for any purpose that is not outlined above.

II. Copyright and Photo Release

Downloader or purchaser (hereby Downloader) of images via the online gallery fall under personal use copyright conditions (see section III) unless otherwise noted and grant Greg Shaw Photography the absolute right and permission to use the photographic portraits, pictures, digital images or video for use or otherwise for any lawful purpose whatsoever, including but not limited to use in any publication, website, and/or social media platform including but not limited to Facebook and Instagram, without payment or any other consideration.

By purchasing or downloading pre-purchased images, downloader waives any right that they may have to inspect and/or approve the finished product or the copy that may be used in connection therewithin. Downloader hereby releases, discharges, and agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Greg Shaw Photogrpahy their agents from all claims, demands, and causes of action they have or may have by reason of this authorization or use of their child’s photographic portraits, pictures, or digital images, including any liability by virtue of any blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form, whether intentional or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in the taking of said images, or in processing tending towards the completion of the finished product, including publication on the internet, in brochures, or any other advertisements or promotional materials.

III. Personal Use Criteria

The following are a list of conditions where individuals are provided permission to link to (or copy) JPEG images and other material at no charge:

  1. You may print a copy of any photograph for personal and non-commercial uses without permission.

  2. You may print as many prints as you like for yourself or to give away as gifts.

  3. You may place copies of the images on your personal website for viewing or share / post on social media platforms as long as prints are not offered for sale

  4. No other person shall be authorized by you to use the images in any form whatsoever.

  5. You may not sell the image files or prints produced from the files whether in original form, or after any amount of alteration.

  6. No persons may use the image files as a basis for the creation of any artworks if that artwork is to be used for commercial purpose.

  7. No rights to these images may be transferred to any other person or company, whether for profit, or as a gift.

  8. The images may not be displayed or printed in any commercial media, for any purpose whatsoever, without written permission from the photographer.

IV. Commercial Use

Those persons who wish to use the photography found on this site in a commercial fashion must receive written consent from Greg Shaw Photography, prior to its commercial use. To obtain consent, interested parties should send an e-mail and include the following.

  1. Image(s) you would like to use

  2. Where they will be displayed

  3. How they will be displayed

  4. Intent of its display

  5. Duration of their public viewing

  6. Any other information you feel would be useful


Any commercial use of my photography without prior consent is a violation of United States and International copyright law.

V. Copyright Protection Tactics

In attempts to maintain the integrity of the copyrighted photographs found on this site, several copyright protection methods have been utilized. Some of these tactics include, but are not limited to:

  1. Placement of watermarks

  2. Resizing of images

  3. Conversion of images to low resolution for web use

  4. Copyright information added to image metadata


If you would like to use a specific photograph with some of the copyright protection tactics removed, please contact us and describe what the intended use of the imagery with the copyright protections tactics reduced. 

VI. Copyright Infringement is Serious

The act of infringing on a copyright is a very serious business and is punishable by fines and/or imprisonment. I have worked very hard to present you with a quality photographic experience and I kindly ask that you will refrain from copying anything from the site onto your own hard drive, diskette(s), printer, etc. You are welcome to copy the hyperlinks to other sites, however, I ask that you do no copy any of the graphics, photographs, or articles from this site for your own use (other than the terms stated above). Doing so is an infringement of United States and International copyright laws.
